Grass4sale.com - DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!

On 5/18/11, I had a live chat conversation with grass4sale.com. I asked if placed an order for sod on 5/20/11 to be delivered on 6/4/11 between 1-4pm, would there be any problem with that. I was told, "no". I placed my order on 5/20/11. 6/4/11 came and went and no sod delivery. No phone call, no email, no contact from grass4sale.com whatsoever. I could not reach anyone at the company until Monday morning at 10am, after being on hold for over 1/2 hr. I talked to James. James clearly had the order information available, but offered no apology or explanation as to what happened. He stated he would call me back within 2 hours. No call. After 3 hours, I called him back. No information whatsoever. Again said he would call me back within 2 hours. This went on all day. He promised he would have an answer by the end of the day. He promised he would call me back by the end of the day. No call. It's now a full 24 hours later and never got a call from the company with any explanation. This company is a total fraud and waste of time. Fortunately, they did not charge my credit card, however, to be safe, I have cancelled my credit card so they can't charge it. Very disappointed. Don't waste your time with this company.

Screwed by Grass 4 Sale

I ordered St. Augustine grass from Grass 4 Sale. They said it was too early to be cut. They said my order was pending. I called 3 times to check on the expected delivery date. They finally said it was time to cut the grass. BUT my order had been canceled. It had been over a month since I had ordered. I would need to reorder. I told them my order was in pending status. Nope, need to reorder. I tried to reorder, but the discount had dropped from 15% to 10%. The shipping had risen from $9.99 to over $50. When I called to complain, they showed no concern and would not honor the original purchase. I feel it was dishonest to keep me hanging with an order that they had no intention of filling. With Grass 4 Sale, a pending order means nothing, except you are about to be screwed. For sod orders in Tucson Arizona, go to Evergreen Turf. They are honest.

Grass4sale.com Don't Use

This is my correspondence with grass4sale.com You are now chatting with 'Grass4sale' How can we help you today? Grass4sale: Welcome to grass4sale.com chat service. Mark: I'm upset! I have waited all day with people to lay sod and it still is not here. Not only that I can't speak with anyone to find out what's up. I called at noon they said two more hours. I called at four they said the truck had a flat. And now all I get is the after hour message!!!! Grass4sale: The office closes at 5pm. The times are just preferred times and it does vary. Mark: 6:00 PM is not a Friday delivery!!!@!! Mark: I still don't have grass and I don't even know if it's coming! Grass4sale: I don't follow that. It will be there soon. It's on the way Mark: HOW DO YOU NOT FOLLOW? IF SOMETHING IS GOING TO BE DELIVERED, HOW CAN IT NOT COME DURING BUSINESS HOURS!! Grass4sale: Because like we said it will vary based on traffic and how long each drop takes and on this case there was blowout that had to be fixed Mark: WHY DID NO ONE CALL ME!! Grass4sale: I am the manager Mark: SO YOUR TELLING ME THAT A COURTESY CALL IS NOT SOMETHING YOU DO........I'M OUT $240.00 IN LABOR FOR NOTHING Grass4sale: We do not tell you how to install your grass or what to pay for it. We are delivering your product and just like FedEx drivers can't do customer service at the same time or predict vehicle problems etc Mark: I can't believe you would compare yourself to FedEx. When they promise morning delivery they do it 99.8% of the time. If they don't, they give you your money back. That is customer service at its finest. Grass4sale: Sorry you feel that way, is there anything else I can do for you? Mark: No I'm done!!!!!!! I did not get my grass until 7:30 PM. This company is just a broker, they use local companies to get you your grass. I highly recommend shopping around before using this company...............

Grass4sale.com, aka Walkers Landscape, Inc.

I ordered Emerald Zoysia sod on their website 5/31/07. It was to be delivered 6/2. They called 6/1 leaving me a voice mail message they couldn't deliver it then, and the earliest del'y date would be 6/5. I called 6/2 and left a voice message which was not responded to. I called 6/5 and talked to Esther. She apologized and said the sod can't be cut because it is too wet. She said she would call me 6/12 to update me. No call was received. I sent them an email 6/15 with no response. I called again 6/25 to their long distance number of 210-541-**** and talked to Maria. She said they are still under rain delay. At least 4 days of no rain are needed so the ground can dry enough to get the machines on it. Esther no longer works there, she said, and they don't have my 6/15 e-mail. On 6/26 Maria called and said the ground was still too wet to cut the sod. She said she'd call me daily to keep me informed. I never heard from her again. On 7/17 I called and talked to a man. I did not get his name. He said the ground was still too wet to cut the sod. They tried cutting it yesterday and it just fell apart, he said. I called again on 8/21 and again talked to a man, name unknown, that gave the same excuse, too wet to cut. He said they check it every day. On 10/29 I called the 800-796-**** number and got the voice mail of "James" saying to leave a message. I asked him to call me. No call. I called again 10/30 leaving another message for "James", but still no return call. I called 10/31 and got the same voice mail, but I did not leave a message. I called the long distance number of 210-541-**** and got a recording form the phone company the number is disconnected. I then reported this incident to the San Antonio Better Business Bureau and to the Texas Attorney General's Office.

Well it sounds like someone thinks that sod needs to be 100% dry before it can be cut.I've never had that problem before.
